Are you looking for a fun and family-friendly cycling event in Philadelphia? Look no further! This fall, Philadelphians and visitors alike will have the opportunity to experience the city like never before with the opening of the Philadelphia Bike Tour. Pre-registration for the event is open (the official date is set for October), and thanks to the event organizer's partnership with the Greater Philadelphia Bicycle Coalition (BCGP), a portion of the profits will go towards supporting their youth cycling program. The route for the tour is based on a route by Mike Krizauskas from BCP, SCU and the Jersey Shore Cycle Club, which was originally planned to coincide with the Blueberry Festival in Hammonton, the blueberry capital of the world. Participants will be able to explore Philadelphia's neighborhoods, iconic places, and stunning skyline views in a closed and non-competitive format.
Some of the highlights of the tour include Center City, Independence Hall, Penns Landing, Kelly Drive, and Manayunk. If you're interested in biking with your family and want to connect with others who have already traveled that path, consider joining the Kidical Mass Philadelphia Facebook group. Here you can keep up to date on family events related to cycling and ask questions to group members. Other clubs or organizations can post attraction events on this website at no cost.
They are listed as a courtesy, but they are NOT events sponsored by the BCP. Additionally, there are plenty of resources available to teach your children how to ride bikes. The Philadelphia Bike Tour is an excellent opportunity for families to explore Philadelphia in a safe and enjoyable way. With its scenic routes and family-friendly atmosphere, it's sure to be an unforgettable experience.
So don't miss out - pre-register today and get ready for an amazing adventure!.
